CEDRIC GEGEL
ACTING
Cedric stars as the titular character in the Astra-nominated and Indie Series Award-winning indie series "The Coroner's Assistant," which earned him a Best Leading Actor - Comedy nomination at the 2024 Indie Series Awards. Other award-nominated roles include Pippin in Pippin, the Beast in Beauty and the Beast, Robert F. Kennedy in Kennedy: Bobby's Last Crusade, Benny in Monster, Black Stache in Peter and the Starcatcher, Link Larkin in Hairspray, and Lucky Whitman in The Grounders.
FILM WORK
Cedric's film career has spanned a variety of genres. He is known for his comedic work, highlighted in projects like The Coroner's Assistant, Boardwalk Winter (coming soon), Cocoa, Strangers of My Imagination, and We Love You Not. Character-driven dramas are a passion of his, featuring projects like Forbearance, What Are We? (coming soon), A Momentary Stop, and Stick-Up (coming soon). He's also led horrors like the upcoming films The Haunted Forest, Monstrum Opus, and He Sees You When You're Sleeping, and in historical and investigative series like FOX's American Dynasty and Hulu's Betrayal: The Perfect Husband.
STAGE WORK
On stage, Cedric most recently starred as William Shakespeare in the hit musical Something Rotten! in Albuquerque, New Mexico with Devon Frieder Productions. Following that production, he appeared in the play Butterflies Are Free alongside legendary comedy actor Morgan Fairchild at the Judson Theatre Company in Pinehurst, North Carolina. He is set to appear in two separate productions of Anastasia in the second half of 2024, playing Gleb in both; first with Sceneworks Studios in Paramus, New Jersey in July, followed by a production with the Alluvion Stage Company in Lynchburg, Virginia in September.
